With
an aim to motivate overseas Indian youth to develop interest to know
and understand India, as envisaged by Honourable
Prime
Minister
Narendra Modi, the Ministry of
External Affairs, New Delhi in association with Indian
Embassies/Consulates abroad will organize
the second edition of Bharat of ‘Bharat Ko Janiye’ (BKJ) quiz
with
participation of overseas Indians youth in 2018-19.
The
Quiz has also been opened for foreign nationals under the foreign
national category.
Quiz
Process:
The
'Bharat Ko Janiye' (BKJ)
Quiz
will be organized in 4
rounds.
The first
round of quiz will be held
from 16 October – 15 November, 2018
(local time) and the last
date of registration is 15 November 2018.

The BKJ Quiz will be held online for PIO & NRI aged 15 to 35
years and for foreign nationals.
Online
Registration Mandatory:
It
is mandatory for the candidates to check their eligibility and
complete online registration https://www.bharatkojaniye.in/
in order to participate in the Quiz. Participants are required to
generate a unique username and password by registering online at the
portal.
NRI
Category:
A participant can be an NRI with a valid Indian passport and work
permit of country of residence, certifying his/her NRI status.
PIO
Category
: A participant must hold a valid PIO card or number OCI Card or
number either of his parents or one of his grandparents from the
maternal or paternal side must be of OCI/PIO cardholders. In case
of any doubt about OCI/PIO status, please consult Mr. P. Subhash
Nair, Second Secretary/Head of Chancery, Embassy of India, Sofia by

Foreign
nationals can also register online at https://www.bharatkojaniye.in
under foreign national category.
The
winners (Top
3 contestants/participants
from each category) will be given certificate and medals by the
Embassy of India, Sofia. These winners will
then participate in the second
round of quiz (online)
to be conducted by the Ministry of
External Affairs in
New Delhi. The third
and fourth rounds (semi
final and final round)
will also be conducted by the Ministry
of External Affairs
in New Delhi. All participants, who are invited for onsite Quiz (3rd
and 4th round) would attend a workshop in New Delhi and participate
in the Bharat
ko Janiye Yatra, a 15 day tour of India.
After Yatra, final round (onsite) will be held in
New Delhi
and top 3 winners will be awarded medals at the Pravasi
Bharatiya Divas Convention 2019.
