Celebration of the 11th International Day of Yoga in the Republic of North Macedonia
The Embassy of the Republic of India in Sofia, in collaboration with the Macedonian Yoga Federation with the active support of Surya Yoga school will celebrate the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY) on 21st June 2025 in the Republic of North Macedonia.
This year’s celebration is themed “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, emphasizing the deep interconnection between individual well-being and the health of our planet. Yoga not only promotes physical and mental health but also cultivates a conscious, sustainable lifestyle. Rooted in the Indian philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the world is one family—this year's theme highlights how caring for ourselves leads to caring for our shared Earth.
Over the years, the International Day of Yoga has become a nationwide celebration in North Macedonia, traditionally held in many cities such as Skopje, Ohrid, Betola, Strumica, and several other places. In keeping with this spirit, yoga events across the country will once again be free and open to all, welcoming everyone to join in this collective experience of harmony and wellness.
